JUDGMENT: J U M N T Mrs. Sujata V. Manohar, J. Leave Granted. The appellant was appointed as Assistant Manager in the respondent-U.P. State Leather Development and Marketing Corporation on 22.11.1974. On 10th of January, 1978 the appellant was selected and appointed as Divisional Manager in the respondent- Corporation. The letter of appointment which is dated 10th of January, 1978 states as follows :- "........... His appointment will be on probation for a period of one year which can be extended at the discretion of the Managing Director.
