For the reasons stated above, we allow the appeal by enhancing the compensation under the head ‘loss of future Page 25 of 25 income’ by Rs. 8,02,368/-; under ‘loss of income during treatment period’ to Rs. 18,000/-; litigation cost at Rs. 2,00,000/- and the compensation payable towards prosthetic limb including maintenance cost at Rs. 26,00,000/- (21,00,000 + 5,00,000).
