Following a pre-existing family/property dispute in Gorakhpur, the petitioner allegedly conspired with three others to eliminate the victim, Chandrika @ Gabbar Sahani. On 23rd August 2023 the petitioner is alleged to have lured the victim to his rented premises in Porvorim, Goa on the pretext of painting work, where he and Accused No. 2 wrongfully confined and assaulted the victim with a wooden stick; the accused then tied the unconscious victim to a heavy stone with nylon rope and iron hooks, transported the body by car and disposed of it in the Gaundalim river.…
