In brief
The parties married on 23.06.2003. The appellant-husband alleged that the respondent-wife distanced herself from him almost immediately, taunting him as illiterate and rustic, joined his company only four or five times in two years and the marriage was never consummated. She left for her parental home on 30.11.2005 and, when the appellant and a witness (Ram Prakash, AW-4) went to fetch her on 15.12.2005, she refused to return without any reasonable cause; the parties have lived apart ever since and no children were born of the marriage.…
